What interests us

We work at the intersection of cryptography, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure. These are the questions we keep returning to -- not a roadmap, just the problems we find worth thinking about.

Research Areas

Agent Memory

How should an agent's memory move with the person it belongs to? We study how memory follows a project across machines, how concurrent edits resolve without losing work, and where the line sits between an agent's own memory, which stays with one person, and what people share on purpose.

Applied Cryptography

End-to-end encryption where the infrastructure holds no keys: per-device keys, sealed membership and key updates, and replaceable items whose slots reveal nothing about their names.

Distributed Systems

Store-and-forward relays anyone can run, replication that survives machines being offline, and sync that never skips an item whatever an author's clock says. We draw on Cardano's peer governor design.

Identity & Trust

Identity without accounts: a key per device, trust established by the person copying keys between their own screens, and revocation that removes one device without disturbing the rest.

03

Open Source

All research is published openly under AGPL-3.0. We build in public and believe infrastructure this fundamental should be auditable by anyone who depends on it.
